Burbank, CA, December 18, 2002 - WatchReels.com,
the Production Industry's premier online showreel
database, has merged with ReelsOnDemand.com,
the demo reel showcase.
This merger allows Industry viewers to benefit from
both companies' extensive databases. Serving both
WatchReels and ReelsOnDemand customers, a new supersite
will be created which will combine both the WatchReels
and ReelsOnDemand websites and databases. This new
supersite will combine the best features of both websites
and will be labeled under the WatchReels brand. Not
only will this double the exposure for customers,
but it will also make it easier for viewers to access
reels online in one place.
This merger will benefit our customers in many ways:
- Their demo reels will now have over twice the
exposure, with over 24,000 visits a month from Ad
Agencies, Producers, Directors, and Production Companies
looking for creative talent.
- They will continue to benefit from the highest
quality video on the web, while also taking advantage
of WatchReels' superior web design and database
functionality of cross-linking credits to drive
traffic to our member's reels.
- WatchReels members can post an UNLIMITED number
of spots, and make updates as often as they like.
- WatchReels members have access to YourName.com
website hosting for your reel or whole website,
custom encoding and streaming video services, DVD
authoring and more.
"The merger will benefit our industry viewers
by giving them a greater database to search from and
our members by increasing their exposure to the decision
makers using the website," states Vincent Reynaud,
co-founder of WatchReels.com.
"This is a rapidly growing market and all of
our customers will benefit from this merger by the
increased exposure each site currently has. Additionally,
we aim to provide enhanced customer satisfaction through
our new website in development," states Keith
Roush, co-founder of WatchReels.com.
Reaction from customers overall has been favorable.
According to Director of Photography Eric Moynier,
"It's one-stop shopping for viewers instead of
having to look at two sites."
The ReelsOnDemand website will continue to exist
while the new supersite is being developed during
the transitional period of this merger. All ReelsOnDemand
customers will be incorporated into the WatchReels
website in 2003. Specific terms of the merger have
not been disclosed.
