The students getting set for the JAMB exams are of the thinking that the exam is difficult, the truth of the matter is that it is as difficult as you see it or make it- as a man think in his heart so is he, for some that know the secret it is never easier said than done in any way. All you need to have at the back of your mind is the secrets- these points, before registration and going into the exam hall.

First: Study very well and prepare painstakingly for the questions – make sure you get relevant textbooks, preferably the ones that have been recommended texts as well as a few texts also in order to assist you in your preparation.

Second: Know the mode and technique employed in answering JAMB examination questions.

For instance, in the art subjects, no calculation is really needed, therefore it would be wise to begin with the subject you are very good at the most first so as to gain some amount of time that would be highly useful for the remaining subjects. And for sciences like physics and chemistry, the first few pages are littered with calculations whereas the final pages are straight answer questions. Make sure you avoid this trap. Begin with the subject you are most efficient at first, the easy order is BIO-CHEM-PHY or CHEM-PHY-MTH or pick any other suitable order as well as being fast and accurate since you have only 54 secs to provide an answer to one question (less than a minute).

Third: Practice, Practice, Practice – Ensure that you practice well with past questions backed by proper and adequate timing at specific practice sessions because the examiners, irrespective of how crafty or creative they are, would still come out with related and similar questions to the past questions.

Lastly, have an optimistic mindset for success ahead of the exams and forget about ‘runs’ because many of the ‘runs’ men don’t know anything. Adhering strictly to the above steps is the surest and easiest way to pass your JAMB exams.
